The WCB provides benefits and services to assist you during your recovery and to reduce the impact of a work-related injury or illness. The benefits you may be entitled to will depend on the nature of your injury or illness and your ability to work. Some common types of benefits are:

• Health care benefits to ensure that you receive the treatment that you need at no cost to you.
• Temporary wage loss benefits to reduce the financial impact of missing time from work without pay.
• Expense reimbursement to ensure that you can get to necessary treatment and services without incurring out of pocket expense.
• An impairment award if your injury or illness results in a measurable and permanent impairment.
• Vocational Rehabilitation if you are unable to return to your pre-injury employment.
• Long-term wage loss benefits if you are unable to eliminate your loss of earnings.

The WCB will work with you, your employer, and your health care providers to ensure you receive the benefits you need.

The WCB also provides survivor benefits when a worker dies as a result of a compensable work-related accident, injury or illness.
